The minimal design of the ShockStop Stem blends seamlessly with the aesthetic of modern bikes, while reducing fatigue and strain. Along with the ShockStop Suspension Seatpost, this system works together to suspend the rider and smooth out rough terrain on the bike you already own, making your ride smoother, faster, and more comfortable. Great for bikepacking, gravel biking and commuter e-bikes.
Benefits of a Suspension Stem:
• Go farther - reduce fatigue from bumps and vibrations
• Ride faster - energy that is normally wasted suspending your body is converted into forward motion
• Take control - customize your suspension feel to float over obstacles and maintain control over rough terrain

How do I choose the right length and angle for my bike?
We put together a set of instructions that can help you determine the length and angle of your existing stem and provide guidance on what to chose based on riding style - check it out here.
How is the ShockStop Stem different from other suspension stems?
There are a lot of ways the ShockStop is different - so many in fact, we wrote a whole blog post about it. Check it out here.
How do I measure my steerer tube diameter?
The easiest way to determine your steerer tube size is to use a pair of calipers to directly measure the diameter or take your bike to the local bike shop and they will be able to measure it for you. Alternatively, most of the time a manufacturer will list this under their specifications in the Frame/Fork section. Make sure you are looking at the correct model year as these sizes can change year to year.
The 1-1/8" ShockStop Stem is the standard size used by most modern bikes. The 1-1/4” version can now be used on popular brands such as Giant, Canyon, and Scott bikes, if you're unsure if your bike has an oversized steerer tube, please email us at support@redshiftsports.com and we're happy to help.

It's a no brainer!!
Took me a while to push go on this product, should have done it sooner, it takes all the harshness out of a Gravel ride, also works wonders on the rubbish roads too. Just get it!
Oversized suspension 80mm stem for Giant Defy
Bought this on recommendation from a friend, as having problems with shoulder and looking for something to take away the harshness of vibrations. Was little bit doubtful, more due to price than anything else, but went and ordered one eventually. Thought it might look out of place and noticeable, but no one notices Easy to follow instructions to install and change damper’s (elastomers) Went for recommended size for my weight (78kg 80 & 50 elastomers)and noticed small subtle reduction, but as having decent bike fit and reasonable strong core, reduced dampers to 70 & 60 elastomers next weight range down, and noticed significant reduction in vibrations and potholes, was worried it might be too soft but works well for me, only notice being softer when starting of, but don’t notice rest of ride, in or out of the saddle. Just had shoulder operation on rotator cuff & tendon’s and looking forward to getting back out with this fitted, Would recommend this for anyone with shoulder issues, don’t be put off by the price, and will be installing on any future bikes that i buy.
Smooth experience and ride!
Had a great experience from ordering on the site (easy to choose the size, place the order, use discount), to shipping (quick arrival, well packaged), to self-installation (clear instructions, nice video online to assist). And with the seat and stem working in tandem, the first ride was such a difference; much less wrist strain and much more comfortable in the saddle. So needless to say I'm very pleased with this upgrade!
works better than expected
My only concern before puchasing the redshift stem, was about using in night time with a light mounted on the bar. I read that someone claim that the light goes up and down. So, it's true, but it is almost imperceptile and it doesn't bother.
Quality product
Easy to fit and along with the suspension seatpost it makes for a more comfortable ride
Love this setup on my gravel bike
Very happy with the seatpost and stem. Installed both at the same time, so can't say which give more comfort, but can say with the Redshift seatpost and Redshift stem, the ride feels much mor comfortable and I don't notice any lack of power - just much more comfort :)
